We charge either by the hour or by the word. The cost will depend on the editing or indexing needed.
We will need to know how long the document is, and what service you require.
  • Do you need an index? If so, how complex is the text? Is it very urgent?
  • Do you want a proofreading check to ensure the writing is free of errors?
  • Do you want us to look at clarity, effectiveness, layout and referencing, as well as proofreading?    
  • Do you want us to comment and make suggestions on the structure and organisation of the writing?

For a free, no obligation quote, email a sample of your document. It is best to choose a section from the middle of the document to send.
If your document is in Microsoft Word, we will use Word’s Track Changes to edit it. If the document is a PDF, ​we will use Adobe's Comment facility. ​​We can also proofread a hard copy.

For indexing, we use Sky Index Professional, and submit the index as an RTF file.
